Parasites and You

Let’s face it, we all hear the word ‘parasite’ and cringe a little bit -- rightfully so. Who wants to admit they might have a living host inside their body? Unfortunately, it is said that nearly 95% of people have parasitic infections. Now that I have your attention, I want to explain the what and how behind the parasites we are home to -- how they manifest in our bodies, and what you can do to eliminate them.

What are Parasites?

Parasites typically reside in areas of the body containing a toxic build up of waste, specifically organs such as the colon. Parasitic infections are more commonly known as ringworm, tapeworm, amoeba, and fungal infections -- just to name a few.

How are Parasites Introduced to Our Bodies

Ever walk barefoot on soil, running through your yard mid-afternoon chasing a child, pet, or simply joy? Well, it is possible that you contracted a parasite from frolicking in said grass.

Parasites can be introduced to our bodies via bare contact with soil, or just by being around young children or animals. Aside from physical contact, consumption of undercooked meat and raw fish are possible avenues for contraction as well. These are only a few common examples of how one may unknowingly welcome parasites into their body.

Common Symptoms
  • Bloating

  • Restlessness

  • Fatigue

  • Excessive Hunger

  • Anxiety

  • Teeth Grinding

  • Unclear Thinking

  • Allergies

Keep in mind, these symptoms may not be directly correlated to the presence of parasites -- devil’s advocate and all. On the other hand, it is possible to host a parasite for over a decade whilst revealing no significant signs or symptoms.

My Personal Experience with a Parasite Cleanse

Prior to beginning my parasite cleanse, I had little to no knowledge on the prevalence of parasites in humans. My assumptions were that they caused noticeable illness to their hosts, such as sudden onset of gastrointestinal issues (G.I.) after consumption of unwashed food. It wasn’t until I saw others sharing their personal experience with cleansing on social media, that I took interest.

I began to do my own research on the topic, and quickly realized there was a high probability that I may be a host. Through my research of parasites and how to rid my body of them, I came across the Parasite Cleanse from Food Over Drugs. After reading reviews on their cleanse and educating myself on their company standards, ethically and otherwise, I decided to give it a try!

Questions I’ve Been Asked
  • Why are you doing this / you have parasites?

I wasn’t certain I did have them, BUT after all I learned, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to cleanse proactively.

  • Did you see any parasites?

No, but I also didn’t care to go searching for them. If they were there, they’re certainly gone now!

  • How did you feel?

For the first few days of the cleanse I had a headache and a little fatigue. Thankfully, I had no nausea or G.I. issues. By the end, I felt noticeably lighter with more energy!

  • What did you eat?

I ate a fairly strict plant based diet, as recommended, to ensure I'd get the best results. I took guidance from a Parasite Cleanse Food List!

Partaking in Your Own Parasite Cleanse

The Parasite Cleanse last's for 10 days, and can be completed up to four times per year for maximum benefits. Maintenance between cleansing, to keep parasites at bay, involves taking just 2 capsules once per week!

Best Time to Cleanse

It is recommended to begin your cleanse 5 days prior to a full moon, as this is when parasites are the most active. Parasites become more vulnerable to the anti-parasitic herbs during this monthly time frame.
